The Singapore airport is an attraction by itself, known for state of the terminals, world class services and transit lounges. Geographically located on the crossroads of Asia, Singapore is very well connected to rest of Asia, Europe, Americas and Australia.

Singapore has a state of the art cruise terminal serving many luxury cruise lines. Singapore has its own luxury cruise liner serving the destinations around Andaman Sea and South China Sea. Almost all luxury cruise liners make a stopover in Singapore make it very easy for passengers to visit the city state. Also, are many ferry services that connect Singapore to nearby islands of Indonesia, mainly Bintan and Batam.

Singapore can be reached by road from Malaysia, which is one of the most preferred modes of transportation for travelers visiting multiple countries in South East Asia. There are two roads that connect Singapore to the Johor, the southern state of Malaysia. The two checkpoints are located at Woodlands in the north of Singapore and at Tuas in the west of Singapore. There are continuous shuttle services connecting the Johor Bahru bus terminal to various parts of Singapore at nominal fare. Visitors can also drive into Singapore. However, note that the road routes are mostly used by locals working in the neighboring countries, making the roads very crowded with traffic, especially on weekends and evenings.

By Rail

Singapore enjoys rail connectivity to the neighboring country of Malaysia. The service is operated by Malaysian Railway. There are daily three rail services connecting Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia. There is also a luxury train service connecting Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. For visitors who wish to travel overnight from Kuala Lumpur, train is probably a better option as you get a sleeping berth.
